feel free, the more the merrier, I just ask, stick to your own story, mention other stories events, but don't write about other peoples characters in your story (unless permission is given) as this can affect their idea of what they are going to do with their story.

Technically it has, thats where my first story about Darrell and the troll is heading, but then again, I'm trying to enfold all of the orders into one over-arching story that trades from one order to the next.

“Did you see what they did to him? They really messed him up badly. They’re saying even if he does get out of the Hospital, he may never be the same”

The last couple of days, Damian had overheard this conversation more times then he cared to admit. Not that he considered himself close to Trent, but they had been friends when they were younger. They grew up in the same neighborhood, they had just gone different ways in high school. Still, he didn’t like to think about how badly Trent had been hurt.

  “Daemon, didn’t you hear me?”

“Yeah, I heard you, I just don’t want to think about it”, Damian responded. Most people called him Daemon, it was a nickname he had picked up his Freshman year, mainly due to the fact he always wore black, and rumors that he was a wiccan. “Look Boyd, Trent was a cool guy, I don’t even know why those guys were messing with him”.

“Maybe he smarted off to them, you know how much of a smart aleck he could be.” Boyd said with a shrug. He stopped in front of the Choir room. Boyd had joined choir thinking it would help him get girls, turns out he has quite the voice, it actually earned him a scholarship. “Look man, I gotta get to class, but don’t let it get to you, they’ll get theirs, and I’m sure Trent will be okay”.

“Alright man, I’ll catch you later, I’ve got a few things to do myself”, I Kept heading down the hallway to the front door. Yeah, I had things to do. I wanted to check out that park, something about the story just didn’t seem right, and I owe it to Trent and his little brother to find out. Luckily, my mom worked down at the Station, maybe she heard something more about what had happened.

Opening the school door, I saw Darrell getting his bike out of the lock up cage. He used to catch rides home from Trent, but now that he’s in the hospital, I guess Darrell’s on his own for getting home. I stood there at the top of the stairs watching, what could I say? I barely knew the kid, the last time Trent and I hung out, Darrell wasn’t even a teenager. He hopped on his bike and started to leave, I could see he was trying to ignore the whispering groups that kept glancing at him.

I headed on down the stairs. Hopefully things will get better for him, and Trent will recover soon. Their parents didn’t have a lot of money, heck the only reason Trent had a car was to make it easier on his parents.

I started the trip home, lost in thought, trying to figure out what happened, and if I really wanted to get involved. I mean Trent and I really hadn’t hung out for a long time, did I really owe it to him? There was that time as a freshman that Trent stood up for me, I would have gotten my butt handed to me if it wasn’t for him.

I continued to brood over it as I walked, not really paying attention to anything. After a little bit I got to Emrys park, my little shortcut, the place where Trent got beat up. It was time to make a decision, should I check it out? They said there were things in those woods, things that could make you lose it, or worse. I had just stepped into the park, when I noticed a tall man in a red jacket at the edge of the woods. That’s where it all happened, That’s where Trent got the crap beat out of him. Suddenly there was a loud roar, and the man in red started running into the woods. Not sure what was happening, but I felt that it had something to do with what had happened to Trent, I decided to follow.

I tried sticking to the shadows, not sure what the roar was, or what the man it red was up to, I didn’t want to be seen. I had been told in the past, when I didn’t want to be seen, I almost seemed to disappear, and I was hoping that today would be the case.

Slinking behind the man in red, I watched as he entered a clearing in the middle of the woods and started to cross it. There wasn’t much there, just a dirt depression in the middle, and some large pile of rocks at the far side. Just then there was a loud boom, and a tree by the Rock pile fell over. I couldn’t be certain, but I thought I saw the rock pile move. As the tree came crashing down, the man in red yelled “MOVE Now!” from the center of the clearing. He began to wave his arms. It was only then I noticed the stick in his hand. I had enough time to think “what the…” as something silvery and sparkly sprang out from the tip of the stick. Then the rock pile turned. The sparkling silver light splashed across its face and caused it to stumble. Near its base, something was moving.

Not knowing what I was getting myself into, I dove into a nearby bush. I didn’t want to end up like Trent, but I also wanted to see what was going on. The man in red kept waving the stick, and more colors flew at the rock pile hitting it in the mouth and leg. Finally, something gold smacked it in the head and it dropped like a stone. It was only after all the action had stopped, that I saw what had been at its base, it was Darrell. How the heck was he involved in all of this?

“What the hell was that?” Darrell screamed. He was walking up to the man in red.

“A rock troll, they aren’t usually found down here, but I guess this one has been hibernating in this forest for a while. Seems something woke her from her nap.”

“Her?”

“Yup, young one too, must have gotten separated from her parents and got lost”. The man in red turned to Darrell, “let’s get out of here, it should be out for a few hours after all of that, but just in case, we don’t want to be here when it wakes. I’ll get some friends down here, and get her taken care of, but you and me need to talk, Darrell”.

I stayed hidden in the bush as the man in Red and Darrell left the woods. How did that guy know Darrell, was he involved in what happened to Trent, and what the Heck is a rock troll, surely those can’t be real. I continued to ponder this as I snuck back out of the woods. If that man’s “Friends” were coming, I didn’t want to stick around.

I got to the edge of the tree line, but I couldn’t see where the man in red and Darrell went. The park was empty, the swings at the swing set blowing in the wind. As I started to trudge home, I heard what sounded like paper fluttering in the breeze. I looked around, and saw something tacked to the event board. I didn’t look to be secured to well, but something about it seemed odd. I walked over to the board to have a closer look.

I was still looking at the poster when I heard a voice behind me.

“Very impressive Damian, you stuck to the shadows and remained unnoticed throughout all of that, I think you’d be perfect to join us”.
