No new player help/intro?

Brand new alpha tester. I was expecting there would be some info in-game as to what to do as a new player. How to cast spells?  What things on the screen mean? (I'm figuring things out, but I would expect that this would be something at least partially implemented by the end of Alpha..... which is soon, yes?)

there was a tutorial that has been suspended while they make core mechanical changes to the game.

Hi Azryyal... I'm a new player too, but I've been playing almost a week now and I think I've got some things figured out. Maybe I can help you a little....

To cast spells, first you need to place them into your spell deck. So figure out which spells you want (you can choose 2 at first), and you may need to buy them first if you didn't already "learn" them somehow.  Once you have a spell, you can choose "Add to Deck", and you choose a spell slot (#1 or #2).

To actually cast the spell, you'll need to be either in a battle or in the "Test Deck" section. I would recommend starting in the Test Deck section before you try to battle a monster.
To test a spell, draw the spell glyph with your finger. This is the part I missed for a while: IF YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL, the spell icon will show in the circle.  If not, you will just get the sparkly things making the shape of the glyph it thinks you tried to draw.

When you get into a battle with a monster, each character gets like 10 seconds or so to cast spells. You'll each have like 5 slots each turn, I think, to fill with your spells. Some spells take up more than one slot, so choose your spells in the spell book wisely. Be aware of whether your glyph was recognized and fills up the slots or not! (Yours are at the bottom of the screen.) When both players have cast the spells, then the spells are carried out in order, and each character takes damage which will be listed at the bottom of the screen under both characters.

I hope that helps. If you need more help, please contact me and maybe we can learn together...
