hi, it's me again.

i wondered what kind of magic-types there will be?
and if you have to specialize yourself?

will there be conjuring, necromantion, elemental-spells based on the four or five elemental system, some sort of shape-shifting, illussion or nature control?

Hey there,

currently Maguss spells are sorted into 2 types of categories.

First category: Clericalism, Druidism, Magic, Illusions
Second category: Offensive, Defensive, Charm, Curse, Summon and Utility

Both categories allow player to specialize at something but it's not necessary. We haven't implemented any spell trees as we had to allow the player to be independent.

Hope this gave you a little overview, if you want to know more, feel free to ask Smile

Yes kind of. It will take a while for you to transmit as you will have to obtain and learn different spells though.

sure but theoretically spoken it is possible to learn all the spells

But if its possible to learn them all it might make a huge gap between 24 7 players and casuals because the 24 7 players will be able to destroy the casuals easy, I think after a certain amount of spells you should have to delete one to learn one.

Fair point but no one is telling you to pick a fight with a hard core player. That's why there will be a ranking that can define the player's skill, win ratio etc.

I for one would be furious if this game makes us delete spells to learn new ones. That was one of the worst aspects of the original Pokemon games, only being able to learn four attacks. Even at ten years old I could handle more strategy than that. The hardcore players who spent all this time learning all of these spells SHOULD be able to smash the casual players. That's how life works. You want a larger, more powerful spell arsenal? You've got to work for it!

...and you have to remember the signs necessary for the spells xD
