This is an interesting question because even relying on what google will happily provide as driving directions it is not always smart enough not to consider private roads and even some MOD bases with armed guards as being off limits. I would hope that there would be some mechanism to report invalid dungeons that tresspass on private property due to flaws in the google data.

Similarly it might be useful to have some means to flag a dungeon as being inaccessible temporarily for example in the event that roads are closed to the public for some weeks or months as happens from time to time due to improvement works etc.

User submissions are planned so I suppose something like that is included there.

I like that idea.  Kind of like a RPG DM describing the dungeon his player's sitting around the table are about to face, you get a nice descriptive atmosphere for your mind's eye as well as the AR environment around you.

That sort of thing always reminds me of the song The Necromancer by RUSH

I wonder how you will create the dungeons?

Will there be dungeons everywhere or just in big cities? (For me one of the most annoying problem with Pokemon Go is that I have to go to the next city to find good Pokemons...)

Also it would be nice if the route of a dungeon makes some kind of sense in the real world or includes cool spots in the real world (like the Pokestops are in most cases). If you create dungeons automated with a clever algorithm, it will be hard to find a nice route.

Just yesterday I was walking on a park sidewalk/trail in the city where I work, and I thought it would be great for Maguss as it was woodsy and atmospheric for that sort of thing. Unfortunately, that sidewalk doesn't even show up in Pokémon Go, so it's one of those real world environments that might be invisible to the virtual world.

In spite of that, I couldn't help but think it would be the best spot in town for a Maguss dungeon adventure.

Googles mapping of footpaths that don't also happen to be vehicular roads is frequently terrible, for any footpaths outside of like inner city parks or otherwise remotely off the beaten track etc OpenStreetMap generally runs rings around Google. Which is really quite sad to be honest when you consider that Google has more than enough funds to cover the licence fees to access highly accurate mapping data from the national mapping organisations like Ordinance Survey which would easily have let them cover pretty much every legitimate public right of way.

But definitely it would be great to have some on less urban streets. Doesnt totally replace pretty footpaths, but there are car roads that are kinda a happy medium (on the maps and pretty).

Also literally whenever I think about dungeons in this game it makes me think of Edinburgh. That would be such a fun place to play maguss lol.

They will try to make everything as accessible to everyone as possible. But of course you can't just put as much stuff in less populated areas as in the cities since that would favor the people there because the opportunities would be divided between less people. This has already been talked about here.

Most dungeons will include POIs like in PoGo since the spawning algorithm is based on Google Maps data.
While it would be awesome to have entire routes make sense, as you said that's hard to achieve with an automated algorithm. Still, it's planned for the players to be able to submit proposals so if you have a nice idea for a dungeon you will be able to propose it and it might be adopted.

I dont have much of a concearn about the dungeons. there are a lot of old city parts in swiss citys. and they fit this magical setting. I think in germany there are also a lot of old city parts.
From the Darknes we come. And when you see us coming, then you are better than the most.

In Germany it really depends. There are a lot of historic city areas but especially in the big cities there are also many modern areas. Also what I think was meant there is that the things you do in the dungeon have some connection to the real world. That maybe the endboss is at a location where in the real world it could actually have a shelter it lives in or something.
